How do Canadians feel about the terror attack on the US?

As a Canadian, I can tell you I am confused. We fight along the US in Afghanistan and the 36 other countries involved, but our government has refused to back the US and the 42 counties in Iraq. Our troops number about 2500 vs the 40,000 US troops, but we are committed till 2011. The US was hit by terror so many times in the 1980's, 1990's till 2000's, something had to be done especially after the second attack on the world trade center. The US is our big brother, unlike the other G-8 countries, we don't have an atomic bomb, we don't have a missle system, we enjoy our peace and safety because of the US commitment. I feel a sense of jealousy amongst my Canadian friends, but underneath they know the truth. Our Canadian press seldom builds up the US, it always has negative things to say about them; but underneath, we know the truth. I am surprised how much the word "canadian" is used in our news broadcasts. I don't know of any other country that does this, it almost seems like propaganda, and we are being told how good it is here. I look around, and I really can't tell you what it is to be a Canadian, but I can tell you what it is to be an American.
